    Can I Go Anytime?

    We have set dates for the tour and our groups are kept small with just 3 to 8 guests per guide. So, it’s important to check with us as soon as possible as the dates book out quickly.

    If you’re not able to join any of these set dates, just contact us and we will see if there are any options for an extra or private tour.

    Please note: The course is held in German. Therefore, a basic understanding of German is important. Our mountain guides have a basic knowledge of English and can provide the necessary information in English.

    1. Day 1 Arrival

      We each individually arrive at Realp. Welcome introductions and then we’ll hand-out the rental equipment. Your mountain guide will be happy to provide tips and advice for packing your backpack. Any luggage or gear that you don’t need for touring will be taken to the Hotel Tiefenbach by snowmobile.

      Once everything is packed, we’ll have a short introduction to specific touring equipment, and then you’ll be ready to go. We start with a pleasant climb to the Hotel Tiefenbach which will provide the perfect opportunity to learn how to glide uphill on your skis.
      (Distance: 4.5 km; Duration: 2 hours; Ascent: 600 vertical meters).

    2. Days 2-3 Ski Touring

      We’ll start with training tours within the area, which you will have planned the evening before in your group, and we’ll continue to discuss these plans out on the terrain.

      The tour destinations will be selected depending on the weather and conditions.

      Possible summits are:
      Chli Bielenhorn 2,904 m
      Klein Furkahorn 3,026 m
      Stotziger Firsten 2,725 m round tour
      Schafberg 2,591 m and further options.

      (Distance: 5-7 km; Duration: 4-6 hours; Ascent: 1,000 vertical meters).

    This is a ski touring course in English for both skiers and snowboarders to develop skills and knowledge while enjoying ski tours. We’ll spend 3 days ski touring on the Furka Pass in Andermatt, Switzerland.

    Your English-speaking mountain guide will work with you and the small group to plan ski tours each day. Adjusting the plans on the go as needed, together with you. This allows you to enjoy the great ski touring in this area while learning all of the essential elements of ski or snowboard touring.

    You don’t require any previous experience with ski tours, as long as you are confident at skiing on the piste, we will help you to be confident and safe ski touring. This will open up great possibilities and great freedom to plan and enjoy skiing without the crowds and expensive day tickets.

    Aim

    You will be able to plan simple ski tours independently and carry these out in favorable conditions. Depending on your personal fitness level, you will be able to take part in simple to moderate ski tours, e.g. an advanced ski touring course or an alpine ski tour for beginners, etc.
